DJI’s flagship drone, the Mavic 2 Pro is an excellent model by the company which captures some stunning photographs but lackluster video quality at best, DJI realizing their lunacy would be using an Ambarella processor resulting in Enhanced Autonomous capabilities and Superior video quality. As it would weigh more than a 249-gram limit (there’s no way it can be as light as Mavic Mini), it has to be registered in the United States and the United Kingdom.

DJI Mavic Air 2 Release Date

Mavic Air 2 will be released in Fall 2020 though it can be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DJI will probably stream its event rather than holding it in New York as it usually does. We’ll post the details once they get confirmed.

Pricing of DJI Mavic Air 2

DJI has not announced its official number, but the estimated pricing could be rough as the Mavic Air did initially $799 in the United States and £769 in the United Kingdom and AU$1299 in Australia compared to smaller Mavic Mini cost $399 / £369. With safer and more stable flying, a longer battery backup, and whole lots of new sensors, it could be the best drone for many people.

Specification of DJI Mavic Air 2

We will be getting a foldable drone, whose all four arms can be folded to squeeze it into a backpack as usual, but the design will be more compactable than Mavic 2 pro and bigger than existing Mavic Air. The drone has got all new metallic base with several sensors on the gadget. It will be equipped with 360-degree Obstacle avoidance better than three-directional environment sensing as on initial Mavic air. This sensor would make it easier for nervous beginners. Hopefully, It would be equipped with a three-axis camera as on Mavic 2 Pro; we are still not clear with the camera module and sensor size. DJI will offer possibly refreshed 4K-shooting, 1/2.3-inch sensor. It comes with a three-way toggle for Normal, sport, and Tripod modes. Sports mode offering a top speed of (42mph) compatible with fast-moving objects. It comes with a ‘return-to-home’ feature, too, along with the function button and battery status lights. The Mavic Air successor will be fitted with a bigger and better battery, the main drawback of the current version. The current Mavic Air is rated for 21 minutes but gives only 18 – 19 minutes of flying before returning it home, and we are hopeful the new model will keep going for about 30 minutes. As released by the officials last year, all its drones released from this year (2020) will get AirSense tech, ADS-B network receiver from nearby airplanes and helicopters as a standard to prevent collision if they are on the same course. It will also include DJI’s dual vision system, infrared sensors, and LED’s along with a bunch of new sensors on the back all to help drone dodge obstacles and find a landing spot. Stay tuned for all the latest information on technology.
